FC Augsburg take to Twitter with scouse/German translations

Something a little more light-hearted ahead of this week’s return of the Europa League: German scamps FC Augsburg have helpfully posted a range of scouse/German translations for their “friends out and about in Augsburg”.

The image, posted on Wednesday morning ahead of Thursday’s game, offers advice on how to say phrases such as “proper boss scran”, “gorra cob on”, and “givin’ it bifters”.

Backed up with a picture of the smiling Liverpool boss, they also helpfully point out that it could even be used by Klopp when he’s back in his new city.

As the Guardian points out, it’s not the first time people have tried to help Klopp get to grips with the scouse dialect: back in November Liverpool released a video of a young fan trying to help him understand several of the more common phrases.

Liverpool, for their part, simply responded with “Endsgeil!” and an emoji of the German flag.
