England Italy Hashtag shirts

We’re looking forward to this summer’s World Cup, which promises to be the most social international tournament the game has ever seen, however we think the latest additions to FIFA’s online store may be a step too far.

48 different shirt designs have been launched, one for each group game, containing the hashtag of every match.

We’re not sure that many fans will forgo wearing their country’s colours in favour of one of these t-shirts however it’s a small example of FIFA’s dedication to utilising social in the build up to the 2014 tournament. Earlier this week¬†the official 2014 FIFA World Cup Facebook page hit 6 million followers just 8 months after it was launched.

We’re sure there’ll be more to come from FIFA over the coming weeks and months, however in the meantime if you want to display your dedication to the hashtag you can grab one of the shirts¬†here.
