West Ham create @WestHamHelp support account on Twitter
West Ham United have introduced a supporter services account on Twitter to directly respond to fans’ enquiries.
The new Twitter account, located at @WestHamHelp, will provide a new point of contact for fans who want help with membership, ticketing, travel, and more. The account will operate standard customer service hours of 9am to 5pm during the week, as well as from two hours before kick-off until after the final whistle on match days.
@WestHamHelp is the latest initiative introduced by the Hammers aimed at improving the supporter experience. Last week they also announced a new team of supporter liaison officers who will assist fans during home games.
Vice-Chairman Karen Brady said:
“I have enjoyed engaging with supporters on social media and the insight this brings into the things they want to know.
“We have been listening closely to the needs and wishes of our loyal fans and have become aware that many would benefit from a dedicated Supporter Services Twitter account.
“We are pleased and proud to be launching this valuable service and will continue to explore ways of enhancing the experience of supporting our fantastic Club for all West Ham United fans.”
At present Manchester City are the only other Premier League club to offer a dedicated supporter service on Twitter. @ManCityHelp provides much of the same advice, as well as promotion for ticket deals and details about allocations for away games.
