Saints star pushing for transfer on Twitter?
Southampton and France midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin posted a cryptic tweet on Tuesday evening voicing his apparent unhappiness at current events.
6 years of an amazing journey #saintsfc DESTROYED in 1 hour !!!

Schneiderlin is one of the few stand out names from the Saints’ stellar Premier League campaign who has yet to move clubs, however reports on Monday indicated Tottenham were circling.
Rumours a deal was in the offing were put to bed by chairman Ralph Krueger, who said that neither Schneiderlin or Jay Rodriguez would be allowed to move to North London, and the World Cup quarter finalist reacted angrily.
This isn’t the first instance of a player using social media to try and pressure their club into agreeing sale, but the wisdom of this particular move must be questioned. Southampton are currently battling to patch up their reputation after coming in for heavy criticism from fans and observers for dismantling such a promising young squad so quickly. It’s hard to see this intervention from the player resulting in a deal being pushed through.
It remains to be seen what action Southampton will take however as of this article being written the tweet remains live, suggesting that whatever punishment the club levy it is not going to make the player back down.
