Argentina join Twitter and Facebook ahead of FIFA World Cup 2014
With the 2014 World Cup less than a fortnight away, Twitter is edging closer to having a clean sweep of all 32 participating teams as part of its network. The latest converts are @Argentina, who signed up earlier today and became the 31st nation to join. They’ve also created an official account on Facebook.
As noted by FIFA’s social media manager Alex Stone, Twitter is leading the social media league when it comes to official accounts.
Updated Social Media account list of #WorldCup teams. FIFA will have post feed in our Social Hub. Twitter: 31; Facebook: 28; Instagram: 12.

If you’re interested in following all of the verified teams on Twitter, Alex has also compiled this handy list you can subscribe to. Obviously they’re all Tweeting in their native languages, so we’ve no idea what most of them are posting.
