Premier League launches site aimed at younger fans

The Barclays Premier League has launched a new site aimed at fans aged 6-12.

Developed in association with Topps, kids.premierleague.com has been created with the intention of providing a fun platform for children to develop their knowledge of the Premier League.

On their first visit users are encouraged to register; they can then gain experience points on each visit through reading news articles and completing quizzes. A virtual currency can be gained by playing games, and subsequently used in a store to acquire furniture and accessories for their own virtual bedroom.

Trophies and medals are also available for those that complete levels in the games.

Sponsors Topps feature on the site, as users can engage with the company’s products such as Match Attax Live and Topps Fantasy Football.

The site is completely free to use, and gameplay is limited to 10 times per day in order to ensure children don’t spend more time on the site than actually playing football.
